The Effects of Task-Based Instruction Using Online Language Games in a Flipped Learning Environment (TGF) on English Oral Communication Ability of Thai Secondary Students

The purposes of this study were to investigate the effects task-based instruction using online language games in a flipped learning environment (TGF) developing English oral communication ability Thai secondary students and examine students’ opinions environment. present employed mixed-method approach. two-group pre-test post-test design was used. participants 80 studying Mathayomsuksa 3 (grade 9) at school Maha Sarakham province Thailand. Forty experimental group where TGF given as treatment, 40 control all taught only class. Pre- post-tests used collect quantitative data. A semi-structured interview qualitative data from opinions. findings revealed that outperformed those after TGF. different mean score statistically significantly higher than (p < 0.05), demonstrating effective improving ability. It appears combining instruction, learning, game-based could help improve their skills English.
